Bedazzled hair?
Yes this is a real thing.
Meet Subha, winner of the Schwarzkopf Australia’s Most Beautiful Hair competition. I was one of the judges, and I love that we all chose a winner with short hair this year.
Hair doesn’t have to be long to be beautiful. For me, it’s about looking after your hair so that it’s in fabulous condition and what you can do with your hair.
Short hair can be incredibly versatile and I’ll have more posts with Subha to show you how to work a pixie cut.
Today I wanted to share a weird product we used during the shoot. Subha’s hair was styled by super stylist Lores Giglio. When Lores pulled this packet out of her kit I was a bit dubious. I think Lores was too. She found Charmsies at Hair Expo and decided to give them a try.
Charmsies are iron on studs and decorations for your hair. Like a bedazzler for your hair.
Do you remember the bedazzler too? There are no fond memories and I don’t want to bring the bedazzler back at all. But bedazzled hair? I’m interested.
How to bedazzle your hair
Follow the instructions on the Charmsies packet very carefully, but essentially you just position the studs where you want them. Heat them with your iron for 4 seconds and then peel away the backing paper to leave the stud behind.
They are easily removed with conditioner or by carefully combing them out of your hair.
I love how they catch the light in Subha’s hair. They would look amazing in longer hair and braids too, don’t you think?
Oh, and here’s a little peek behind the scenes from our shoot!
Would you bedazzle your hair? Do you love this trend or hate it?
